Santim SC-1 is a next-generation CAN device. It supports every classic CAN and CAN FD vehicle on the market, and when a new vehicle launches, it is compatible instantly. No waiting, no requests.

SC-1 connects to the vehicle’s CAN network and provides the system it serves with the vehicle data it needs. It is installed by authorised Santim service partners and set up with the SConnect app.

Yes. Electric and hybrid vehicles run on classic CAN and, on many newer platforms, CAN FD. SC-1 supports both. During installation and the road test, the vehicle must be in READY mode.

Yes, whenever the vehicle network is classic CAN or CAN FD, including networks that use 29-bit identifiers.

Most vehicles built from the mid-2000s onwards use CAN. If an older vehicle has a classic CAN network, SC-1 supports it. Contact us and we will confirm it with you.

Classic CAN carries up to 8 data bytes per frame at a single bitrate. CAN FD (flexible data-rate) carries up to 64 bytes and can switch to a faster bitrate for the data phase. Newer vehicle platforms increasingly use CAN FD, and SC-1 supports both.

No. Never cut or extend the vehicle’s CAN wires. Tap the twisted pair in place through a short window of insulation, solder with an EMC-safe iron or use approved connectors, and insulate every joint.

SC-1 runs on 7,5–32 V DC, so it suits 12 V and 24 V vehicle systems. It draws < 80 mA in normal operation, and in sleep mode < 2 mA at 12 V and < 1,5 mA at 24 V.

With a short road test, all four wheels on the ground, following the prompts in SConnect. A lift or a roller test bench cannot replace the road test.

Check the fuse, measure the supply at SC-1 (it should be within 7,5–32 V DC), check +15 with the ignition on and confirm a solid ground. The installation guide has the full troubleshooting tree.
